Elevator Service & Troubleshooting Technician**$5K Sign-on**

Prime Elevator Corp is seeking an experienced Elevator Technician with at least five years of elevator field experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and proven hands-on experience with Dover Composite systems.
This position will take responsibility for a preventive maintenance route of approximately 50 elevators, respond to service calls, and assist with repairs as needed. We’re looking for someone who can identify the root cause of a problem, make dependable repairs, and keep equipment running safely and reliably.
Responsibilities
- Manage a preventive maintenance route of approximately 50 elevators, completing scheduled maintenance and identifying needed repairs.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and controller issues on hydraulic and traction elevators.
- Diagnose and repair Dover Composite systems, including relay logic and associated control circuits.
- Respond to service calls, shutdowns, and recurring equipment problems.
- Assist with major repairs, including rope replacements, hydraulic packing changes, brake jobs, door equipment repairs, and other component replacements.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer manuals.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and repair recommendations.
- Communicate clearly with customers, supervisors, and fellow technicians.
- Follow company safety procedures, applicable elevator codes, and manufacturer requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum five years of hands-on elevator technician experience.
- Proven troubleshooting and repair experience with Dover Composite elevator systems.
- Ability to independently diagnose electrical and mechanical problems using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Experience maintaining hydraulic and traction elevators.
- Ability to organize and manage a maintenance route while responding to service needs.
- Willingness to assist with repairs and support other technicians when needed.
- Dependable attendance, strong communication skills, and pride in quality workmanship.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
